Austin ISD is short over 500+ teachers, and they start school next week.
There is a national teachers shortage and a lot of states are getting creative with how they are recruiting and retaining teachers.
Florida is letting veterans and veteran’s wives teach. Some rural towns in Texas are going to a four day work week. Arizona is letting college students teach.
Teachers are super in demand and it will only increase.
